Concert choir

The concert choir’s mission is to have its own concert activities and cooperation with important musical interpreters and ensembles. The concert choir appears every year at dozens of concerts and concert tours. Its members regularly act in operas staged by prominent opera halls. They participate in musical CD recordings. The concert choir is made up of the most gifted members of preparatory choirs, who went through long and demanding preparation. The choir has around one hundred members up to the age of around twenty.

Preparatory choirs

The Kühn Children’s Choir is also a distinguished school of choral singing working with hundreds of children in its preparatory choirs every year. Every child accepted into the Kühn Children’s Choir begins his career in one of the preparatory courses based upon its age, singing experince and other predespositions. The aim of preparatory choirs is to improve children’s singing technique, to teach them how to work with musical scores. The children have to learn there also inevitable discipline for demanding choir practice as a basic requirement for becoming a concert division member. Kühňátka (Little Kühn Kids)

This choir – singing group for the youngest – is devoted to preschool children , potential future members of the preparatory choirs. The aim of the Kühňátka group is the development of musical imagination, abilities and skills of the youngest children, preparation for future membership of the Kühn Children’s Choir. This singing group’s mission is also to develop children’s enthusiasm for choral singing , love for music and to make it easier for the children to proceed to the next stage of the preparatory courses.
